Aluminium slug (Rondol, Rondel, Ronda) – preform for the production of aluminum tubes, aerosol cans and monoblocks.

The application area of aluminum slugs
- Production of tubes for pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, food products, household chemicals, tooth paste;
- Production of aerosol tubes for deo sprays, hair care products, medicines, food products and products of household purpose.
High quality feedstock
In production we use only primary aluminum alloy А7 (99.7%) without adding of any secondary raw materials.
Different types of slugs
We specialize in the production of solid round slugs (without holes) for manufacturing of tubes with aluminum membrane. The slug is produced by stamping technology.
Sizes of slugs
Our production equipment allows to produce slugs with diameter from 13,3 to 44,8 mm and a thickness of 3,5-7,3 mm
The degree of processing of finished slug
According to the customer demand slugs can be delivered either with or without heat treatment, tumbling and non-tumbling, with shotblasting treatment and without any additional processing.

We pack the finished aluminum slugs in various types of packaging by agreement with the customer:
- Corrugated boxes;
- other options according to the customer’s demand
Delivery of the finished slugs are carried by different kinds of transport by agreement with the customer:
- road transport (European vans);
- container transportation;
- the delivery of small small batches by means of transport companies by car or by rail;
- other transportation options according to the customer's demand.
The stages of production and processing of aluminum slugs
Preparation of metal in a mixer
Liquid metal stamps A7 is directly poured into casting mixer from the electrolytic bath. After filling the mixer slag and oxide film are removed from a metal surface. After settling (40 min) metal is poured through the casting bath, equipped with a CFF (Ceramic Foam Filter) (40 ppi).
Casting preform fabrication
The filtered metal is supplied through a filling tray in the mould of the crystallizer. After cooling the liquid aluminum turns into the casting preform. The casting preform (t +360 …+420) is fed into the rolling-mill, where it is rolled to a predetermined thickness and is wound into a roll weighing 500 – 700kg
Aluminum roll delivery to storage warehouse
After acceptance by Quality Department aluminum rolls are delivered to storage warehouse. From our warehouse they are shipped to customers.
Slugs cutting process
Roll strip is set in the unwinding machine and is filled in a die cut stamp, standing in the eccentric press. After cutting slugs are collected in the box drive. Carved metal is wound into rolls and stored on pallets in 5 PCs. It is delivered to the steel plant to be melted down and to get new products.
Slugs from the box drive are placed on the checking table and after visual inspection are poured into an intermediate bucket from where after filling slugs are sent to loading box of scrubbing-annealing-rumbling line.
Slugs from the box drive arrive to distribution chain of annealing furnace (the distribution chain width is 1, 2 m) where is placed a layer thickness of 4 – 6 PCs. Slugs arrive to the first manifold of high-furnace with a speed of 10 cm per minute (totally there are 3 manifolds). After annealing slug is undergoing aging in the refrigerator chamber.
Slug tumbling and mechanical processing
After annealing the elevator brings slug into the mechanical processing distributor. There the slugs undergo rubbing process when rotating in a drum, along with this burrs are removed and roughness is applied to the perform surface.
Afterwards slugs arrive to the box drive and then are packed into boxes. The boxes are placed on a tray. After quality checking they are wrapped with shrinking film.
Finished and packed slugs are sent to the customer.
